Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in intensive care unit setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital environment
• One year of nursing experience required
• Trauma Level experience required
• Assess and care for patients with complex medical problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care
• Participate in patient education and assessment of learning needs
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and synthesize data for care planning
• Develop relationships with families to promote patient advocacy
• Address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning
• Participate in performance improvement activities and cost-effective care initiatives
• Required: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Required education: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited nursing school
• Preferred education: BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school
