Opportunity:

Cardiac Cath Specialist

Job Details:

• Assist physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels, and other required structures
• Control radiographic equipment to acquire quality images and set appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters
• Pan radiographic table so physicians can visualize desired structures
• Practice radiation safety by utilizing distance and appropriate protective attire
• Anticipate patient and physician needs and contribute to organized, timely patient care plans
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in hemodynamics, diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral procedures
• Perform daily room preparations, quality control checks, and equipment preparation for procedures
• Conduct in-room inventory and supply management according to JCAHO regulations
• Document data for patient records, Apollo reporting, charge entry, and image archive
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on cardiac catheterization lab equipment
• Deliver pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care with accurate documentation
• Prepare scrub tables and prep patients while maintaining sterile techniques
• Prepare lines and devices for injectable fluids and inject drugs under physician supervision
• May perform lead worker responsibilities including training and education of staff
• Required education: Graduation from accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, nursing school, or completion of cardiac catheterization training course
• Required certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy/Radiology OR RCIS certification through CCI
