Opportunity:
Radiology Interventional Technologist - Radiology Interventional Technologist
Job Details:
• 13-week contract assignment
• Work under the direction of a Radiologist performing invasive procedures to aid in pathological evaluation
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Obtain additional patient medical history information as necessary
• Prepare prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions for patient administration
• Review clinical data, analyze patient anatomical structure, and set up equipment following protocols
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
• Ensure adequate supplies such as needles and catheters are available and properly stored
• Actively assess patient condition before, during, and following all procedures
• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information for body areas being studied
• Perform all imaging procedures demonstrating radiation protection principles including patient shielding and ALARA techniques
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS
• Complete all study indexing in the Radiology Information System including study begin, study end, and completion
• Perform Quality Assurance procedures as appropriate
• Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices
• Minimum 3 years previous experience required
• Previous experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility required
• Cath Lab experience required
• Must work as an IR Tech, not general x-ray
• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT
• Must be registered with ARRT with advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Additional ARRT specialization certifications highly preferred

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
