Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patient group during shift
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients
• Provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode
• Assume clinical supervision responsibility for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required
• Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required
• Two years current experience in specialty required
• EPIC experience preferred; can train on-site
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
