Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in hospital ICU setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• One year of nursing experience required
• Report to and accountable to Nurse Manager/Director
• Assess and care for patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation and planning of patient care
• Assess readiness to learn of patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs and attend education programs
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues
• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Promote cost-effective care and maintain safe, clean, secure hospital environment
• Must hold nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school of nursing
• BSN or MSN from accredited school preferred
• Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
