Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Float pool position covering multiple medical-surgical units
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school preferred
• North Carolina RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers required (AHA or ARC)
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Assess patient needs including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration and patient care evaluation
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex medical problems
• Assess and anticipate discharge planning needs
• Participate in professional development and unit performance improvement activities
• Promote cost-effective, safe, clean and secure hospital environment
