Opportunity:

Surgical Techno II - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Must have cardiac experience and Siemens equipment experience required
• Perform technical skill duties in all operating room specialty service areas
• Maintain proper maintenance, assembly, handling, and sterilization techniques of specialty instrumentation
• Follow aseptic technique and proactively identify contamination or breaks in sterile technique
• Perform surgical counts and follow policies for incorrect counts
• Establish and maintain sterile field independently
• Label drugs and solutions and monitor quantities used
• Assist in proper identification, preparation, handling, and labeling of surgical specimens
• Participate in planning and setup of instruments, supplies, and surgical drapes
• Assist surgeon with understanding of patient anatomy and surgical procedures
• Knowledge of various vascular standard OR cases and Hybrid vascular cases including EVAR and TCAR required
• Preferred experience with Coronary Artery Bypass, Aortic and Mitral Valve procedures, minimally invasive heart valve surgery, ECMO, and TAVR
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing Program required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Operate complex equipment and troubleshoot as necessary
• Perform daily cleaning, stocking, and verification of emergency carts
