Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Technologist

Job Details:

• Work night shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM
• Verify patient identification using professional methods and obtain patient history
• Document pregnancy status on patients of childbearing age
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI technology and cross-sectional human anatomy
• Operate MRI scanners and be proficient in automatic injections of MRI contrast
• Maintain competency with disc drives, gateways, PACS and laser printers
• Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters
• Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols
• Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast following safe injection procedures
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS
• Verify and segment images at QC station and access IMPAX service tools
• Complete, modify and/or cancel orders in appropriate and timely manner
• Produce quality diagnostic images and review patient charts for correlation
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment
• Precept new employees and students
• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
• Requires advanced certification in MR within one year of employment
• Must maintain current competency in HCP BLS
• Completion of accredited educational program in Radiological Science required
