Opportunity:

Radiology Interventional Technologist - Radiology Interventional Technologist

Job Details:

• Work under the direction of a Radiologist performing invasive procedures to aid in pathological evaluation
• 13-week contract assignment
• Work independently/solo as needed and must be a self-starter
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examination
• Obtain additional patient medical history information as necessary
• Prepare prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions for patient administration
• Review clinical data, analyze anatomical structure, set up equipment, and assist Radiologist in complex diagnostic invasive procedures
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
• Ensure adequate supplies (needles, catheters, etc.) are available and properly stored
• Actively assess patient condition before, during, and following all procedures
• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information
• Operate power injectors and work with guidewires
• Perform stent grafting, including emergency procedures
• Perform all imaging procedures demonstrating radiation protection principles
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS
• Complete all study indexing in Radiology Information System
• Perform Quality Assurance procedures and maintain medical record documentation
• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT with advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional, Vascular-Interventional, or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
