Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Must hold a nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level factors affecting ability to learn
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and evaluation of patient care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans
• Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities
