Description

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 0.9 FTE 36 hours (3x12) varied shift schedule - mainly days with possible nights occasionally
• Day and night shifts will not be scheduled back-to-back
• Work weekends as needed
• On call/call back coverage: 12 hours every 4 weeks
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Provide direct patient care using nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Care for medically complex patient population awaiting community placement in long-term stay setting
• Provide nursing care for Med/Surg level patients without direct escalation path to ICU
• Recognize, de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions
• Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Must successfully pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• Required: 2 years current experience in 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit
• Required: Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• No charge or precepting responsibilities

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
