Opportunity:

Sonographer - Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II

Job Details:

• 3 days of call per month required - Friday/Saturday/1 weeknight or 2 weeknights/Sunday
• May be scheduled at an outpatient clinic off-site from main campus
• Cover procedures in the OR/CCL
• May be required to perform fetal echoes
• 3-5 years of experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in cardiovascular or radiologic specialty required
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
• ARDMS, ARRT and/or CCI credentials in cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders
• Utilize specialized imaging equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures
• Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm study elements and technical quality
• Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting
• Perform quality control checks, cleaning, disinfection and equipment maintenance
• Provide instruction and mentoring to less experienced team members
• Must work independently with minimum supervision while maintaining accurate records
