Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in ICU setting
• One year minimum nursing experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level affecting ability to learn
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update plan of care
• Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care
• Required: Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Required Education: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school of Nursing
• Preferred Education: BSN or MSN from accredited school of Nursing
• Promote safe, clean and secure hospital environment for all
