Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Cardiac Cath Specialist - Cardiac Cath Specialist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Block scheduling not allowed
• Assist physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels and other required structures
• Control radiographic equipment to acquire quality images and set appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters
• Practice radiation safety by utilizing distance and appropriate protective attire
• Perform daily room preparations, QCs, and notify appropriate personnel of variances
• Conduct in-room inventory and supply management according to JCAHO regulations
• Document data for patient records, Apollo reporting, charge entry and image archive
• Deliver pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care with accurate documentation
• Prepare scrub table and prep patients while maintaining sterile techniques
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on cardiac catheterization lab equipment
• Experience required in diagnostic caths, interventional cath, and peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures
• Must have graduation from Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, accredited nursing school, or cardiac catheterization course completion
• Required certification: ARRT in Radiation Therapy/Radiology OR RCIS certification through CCI
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required
