Opportunity:

Cardiac Cath Specialist

Job Details:

• Assist physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels and other required structures
• Control radiographic equipment to acquire quality images and pan radiographic table for physician visualization
• Set appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters for cardiac and peripheral procedures
• Practice radiation safety utilizing distance and protective attire
• Demonstrate knowledge of various procedures and techniques for comprehensive patient care
• Anticipate patient and physician needs, monitor patient condition changes, and contribute to care plans
• Perform daily room preparations, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance
• Conduct in-room inventory and supply management according to JCAHO regulations
• Document patient records, Apollo reporting, charge entry and image archive data
• Retrieve stored information from Witt, HeartLab, ICE, and IVUS systems
• Provide pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care with accurate documentation
• Prepare scrub table and prep patients while maintaining sterile techniques
• Prepare lines and devices for injectable fluids and assist with IV insertion
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment
• Work with diagnostic catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and peripheral procedures
• Block scheduling not allowed
• Required education: Graduation from accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, nursing school, or completion of cardiac catheterization training course
• Required certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy/Radiology OR RCIS certification through CCI
• English proficiency required (read, write, speak)
