Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Two (2) years current experience required in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit
• Must successfully complete at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must successfully pass a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrythmia) test before starting assignment
• One opportunity to re-test if initial BCA test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for assigned group of patients during shift
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs
• Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS
• BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Preferred experience: Epic EMR experience, charge nurse experience
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
