Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in medical surgical unit
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting
• Report to Nurse Manager/Director and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs
• Conduct bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Develop and update patient care plans in collaboration with patients and families
• Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn
• Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues
• Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Required certifications: Licensed RN in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Required education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited nursing school
• Preferred education: BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school
• Must demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex medical conditions
