RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 0.9 FTE night shifts with weekend and call requirements as needed
• No charge nurse or preceptor responsibilities required
• Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite before starting assignment
• One retest opportunity available; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
• Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document according to policy
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Two years current ICU experience required
• At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required
• Must be team player, flexible, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• EPIC experience preferred but can be trained onsite
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
