RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patients during shifts
• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs
• Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Two years current experience in large emergency department required
• Must successfully complete at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Required to successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• One retest opportunity available; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required
• Must be team player, flexible, and adaptable to fast-paced environment
• Epic experience preferred but not required; on-site training available
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
