RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in medical surgical unit with oncology experience highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required with charge nurse experience preferred
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting
• Assess and care for patients with complex medical problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive patient care
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning activities
• Maintain professional development through continuing education programs
• Required certifications: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC)
• Required education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Must demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems and participate in quality improvement initiatives
