RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physician in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with family and patients in sharing care plan while in hospital and at time of discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• Good verbal and written communication skills required
• Some computer skills required
