RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in progressive care unit
• 2+ years PCU experience required
• One year of nursing experience minimum required
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level affecting ability to learn
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Develop relationships with families to promote patient advocacy
• Collaborate with patient/family to prepare and update care plans
• Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care
• Required: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school of nursing
• Preferred: BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing
• Required certifications: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC)
• English proficiency required (read, write, speak)
