RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level of patients
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs
• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update plans of care
• Identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care
• At least 1 year of Med-Surg or higher acuity experience required
• One year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing preferred
