RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• One year minimum nursing experience required, with Level 1 Trauma experience required
• North Carolina RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental factors affecting learning ability
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Recognize data from complex situations to determine care priorities
• Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans
• Address cultural and ethnic issues in patient care planning
• Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Manager will screen all candidates prior to placement
