RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patients during each shift
• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable patient care
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Must successfully pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• One opportunity to re-test if initial BCA test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Two years current experience in large emergency department required
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: State of New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Epic experience preferred but not required; training provided on-site
• English proficiency required for speaking, reading, and writing
