RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 1.0 FTE schedule with 4x10 hour day shifts
• Rotating weeknight and weekend shifts required
• 30 minute call-back response time required
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols
• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
• At least one 13 week previous travel assignment required
• Two years current experience in specialty required
• EPIC experience preferred, can train on-site
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Must pass BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) testing during first week of assignment
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
