RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in an ICU setting
• Level 1 Trauma experience required with minimum 1 year experience
• CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU) focus experience preferred
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting
• Assess and provide care for patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and evaluation of patient care
• Demonstrate competence in patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
• Assess discharge needs and develop relationships with families to promote patient advocacy
• Participate in education programs and professional development activities
• Required: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Required: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited nursing school
• Preferred: BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school
• Must be proficient in English (read, write, speak)
