Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II

Job Details:

• Work full-time weekday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with one variable weekday off per week
• On-call requirements include 1 weekend per month (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 6:30 AM) and 4 weeknights per month (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM next day)
• No weekend commitment outside of on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab required
• Must be able to scrub for all types of heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
• Preferably RCIS or RCES licensure; ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab performing heart caths with intervention
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system preferred
• Ability to work in sterile environment for extended periods while wearing lead aprons up to 5 lbs
• Must demonstrate understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology
• Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene appropriately during lethal arrhythmias
• Calculate basic hemodynamic parameters and record catheterization events in database computer
• Perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations, and ACT measurements
• Must be comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Assist with orientation and training of cath lab staff and participate in special projects
