RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures
• Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Participate in education programs based on identified learning needs
• Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care
• One year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing preferred
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required
