RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in ICU setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital environment
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental factors affecting learning ability
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues
• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Recognize data from complex situations to determine care priorities
• Collaborate with patient and family to prepare or update plan of care
• One year of nursing experience required
• North Carolina RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school preferred
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required
