RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Report directly to the Nurse Manager/Director
• Care for patients with complex medical problems in ICU setting
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental levels affecting learning ability
• Identify expected patient outcomes and participate in care plan revisions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in patient education using appropriate materials for patient population
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues
• Participate in unit goal development and performance improvement activities
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care
• One year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school of nursing required
• BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred
• North Carolina RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Trauma Level 1 experience preferred
