Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with shift and weekend requirements determined at time of request
• Schedule posted 4 weeks at a time with block scheduling available on night shift
• Work in 13-bed Critical Access Facility with ER (3 bays) and Acute Care unit
• Staff ratios: Day shift - 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 Aide; Night shift - 1 RN and 1 LPN
• Average 1-5 patient visits per shift with very low inpatient patient days
• Must be skilled in Emergency Room care and comfortable with BiPAP to stabilize patients
• Must be able to start IVs as no code team is available
• Use Cerner charting system, Omnicell for medications, and Plum IV pumps
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ER and Med Surg required
• Previous Critical Access Facility or community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association), and TNCC
• Nebraska nursing license or Compact state license required
• Professional scrub top and bottom required (any color), no crocs allowed
• Orientation includes 1 day shift and 2 night shifts (if working nights) for total of 3 orientation shifts
• Complete HealthStream modules and HR requirements during orientation
