Opportunity:

Technician - Special Procedures

Job Details:

• Work under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician performing specialized radiographic procedures
• Perform general diagnostic procedures as required
• Execute radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures following and verifying referring provider's orders
• Use independent judgment and apply learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and/or treatments to be performed
• Produce high quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
• Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements
• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors while adhering to radiation safety policies
• Ensure efficient operation of department workflow
• Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of service
• On-call responsibilities required
• Weekend work required
• Cath lab experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Must have successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program
• Must be registered as a Radiologic Technologist
• One year of related job experience required
