Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work in the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
• Provide care for patients undergoing procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
• Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)
• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Work every other weekend schedule
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• Must be willing to float to similar units as required
• Strict 3-strike attendance policy - absence or being more than 20 minutes late for scheduled shifts 3 times results in immediate termination
• Must make up any call-ins within the contract time frame
• 1+ year of nursing experience required (floating experience not considered)
• EKG comfortability required
• Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma experience preferred
• Managing ventilators preferred
• CRRT and Balloon Pumps experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
