Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise individual patient care on the nursing unit
• Complete nursing assessments of patients and document appropriately in patient charts
• Develop care plans based upon patient assessments
• Implement care plans and document in charts
• Evaluate patient responses to care and update care plans accordingly
• Oversee delegation of patient care specifics to unit staff
• Accept responsibility for directing co-workers in implementing patient care plans
• Care for general medical/surgical patients including oncology, observation, hospice, and medical-surgical patients
• Work every other weekend and holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Medical/Surgical observation experience required
• Recent traveler experience highly preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Michigan state nursing license required
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
