Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Experience floating to PCU required
• Must be proficient with telemetry monitoring
• Required to read and interpret heart rhythms
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
• Responsible for patient care through nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direction and guidance for patient teaching and supervision of ancillary personnel
• Complete written patient assessments within designated timeframes
• Formulate and implement care plans within 24 hours of admission
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Adhere to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations
• Document and communicate patient actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Participate in continuing education and attend minimum of eight monthly staff meetings annually
• Work history, current skills checklist, and two supervisory references required for submission
