Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work as member of interdisciplinary team providing professional nursing knowledge and skills in patient care
• Average 15 scans per day working with general, OB/GYN, and vascular patients
• Work independently on 2nd shift - must be comfortable and proficient working alone
• Perform abdomen/RUQ with liver vessel evaluation, kidney and bladder scans, pelvis imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal)
• Conduct 1st trimester OB scans (transabdominal and transvaginal), testicle/scrotum evaluations
• Perform DVT/venous evaluation of arms and legs, ABIs, thyroid, aorta, and carotid scans
• Limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB scans including BPP, measurements, and fluid checks
• Experience with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures preferred but not required
• Call coverage Monday-Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM with rotation among day staff
• Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)
• Minimum 2 years ultrasound experience required
• Experience in general/abdomen, non high-risk OB/GYN and vascular required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS
• Minimum 50 mile radius rule applies
