Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment
• Prepare scan room and patient for examination
• Draw up IV contrast if needed and administer oral contrast when indicated
• Perform warm-up procedures on equipment and enter patient data with appropriate scan parameters
• Review patient data to ensure proper examination and review previous exams
• Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI study
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions
• Transport patients into exam room and assist with appropriate positioning
• Determine patient allergies and inject appropriate IV contrast
• Perform scans with attention to appropriate positioning and be alert for need of additional or thinner slices/images
• Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints and other materials when scanning
• Ensure proper marking with regard to patient orientation
• Enter images with keypad with attention to order of image
• Prepare records for radiologist and ensure all clinical information is complete
• Weekend schedule as scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of experience required
• Siemens experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
