Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for care of assigned patients during shift
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills
• Assist in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float to all units within skill level
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required
• Post-operative open heart care experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Recognize and respond to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required
• Experience assisting with chest tube removal and pericardial pacing wire removal
• Management of temporary pacers including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
• Use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Ohio nursing license required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to specialty required
