Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• 2 years PACU experience required
• On-call rotation nights and weekends with current staff
• Weekend coverage only on-call (not scheduled weekends)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Michigan nursing license required
• Continuously monitor vital signs including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature
• Monitor patient's level of consciousness during anesthesia recovery
• Ensure patent airway and adequate respiratory function
• Intervene quickly for airway obstruction or respiratory distress
• Administer medications including painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and fluids
• Manage post-operative symptoms and maintain patient comfort
• Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications
• Check dressings and perform comprehensive physical assessments
• Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery
• Initiate appropriate emergency interventions when needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare team members regarding patient condition and care plans
