Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment
• Administer contrast materials as required including IV and oral contrast
• Prepare scan room and patient for examination procedures
• Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI studies
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions
• Transport patients and assist with appropriate positioning for examinations
• Perform equipment warm-up procedures and enter patient data with appropriate scan parameters
• Review patient data and previous exams to ensure proper examination protocols
• Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints and other materials when scanning
• Monitor for need of additional or thinner slices/images during scanning
• Ensure proper marking regarding patient orientation
• Enter images with keypad maintaining correct order
• Prepare records for radiologist ensuring all clinical information is complete
• Rotating 3rd shift call responsibilities
• Rotating weekends (approximately 3 weekends during assignment)
• 2+ years of MRI experience required
• Siemens experience required
• Associate degree required
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
• Active MRI certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
