Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing professional nursing knowledge and skills
• Apply nursing process in provision and management of patient care
• Care for patients including hip/knee replacements, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
• Work with post-operative surgical patients in medical surgical setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on 30-bed unit
• Work with drips including PCA and Heparin
• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
• Every other weekend schedule including holiday rotation
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time off requests between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26
• 2+ years of med surg experience required, post-operative surgical experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required
• EMR system: EPIC
• 16 hour NBO requirement
• Same day clinical interviews available
