Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 16-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with 5:1 patient ratios
• Care for telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
• Manage IV drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• 4 months of medical surgical and/or telemetry experience in hospital setting required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• First time travelers accepted with minimum 24 months current nursing experience
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical/telemetry required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, or manager within 24 months preferred
