Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Provide care and comfort to residents with basic medical/surgical knowledge
• Care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients
• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by physician-authorized plan of care
• Provide direct resident care including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and make suggestions for updates in collaboration with team members
• Process physician/provider orders and perform physician-ordered care accurately and timely
• Follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications
• Maintain knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Travel work experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Skills checklist current to 1 year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
