Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work with 25-bed unit caring for neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Manage drips including Heparin, PCAs, and 3% Sodium with no titration required
• Work every 3rd weekend with holiday rotation if scheduled
• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Work with specialty equipment including telemetry, chest tubes, and airvo
• 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital setting required
• Neurology and orthopedic care experience required
• Trauma care experience highly preferred
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 months
• EKG/strip reading and telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred, can be obtained during onboarding)
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
