Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• On-call requirements: up to 2 overnight shifts per week and 4 weekends per 13-week contract
• Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
• Must float across all campuses within the health system
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with average 35-50 cases per day
• Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
• Work in 16 operating rooms with 12-14 running routinely
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Both scrub and circulating experience preferred
• 2+ years of current operating room experience required
• Circulating and operating room experience required
• Scrub experience preferred, including open heart scrubbing
• Strong cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency and general surgery experience required
• Experience with daVinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular highly preferred
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
• No first-time travelers - must have completed travel assignment within previous 12 months
• Work with specialized equipment including 3 daVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma
• Service lines include cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• BLS certification required
