Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans specific to each patient
• Implement and evaluate care plans during procedures while maintaining patient safety as top priority
• Supervise operating room activities and coordinate schedule changes as needed
• Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist anesthesia team as necessary and monitor sterile field
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Provide leadership to the OR team during surgical procedures
• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• At least 2 years of RN OR experience required
• Level 2 Trauma Experience required
• Must be proficient in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology procedures
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
• Participate in staff development through continuing education and preceptorship
