Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend schedule
• On-call responsibilities possible
• 1+ year of stepdown experience required
• Cardiac proficiency required
• Travel experience required
• EKG comfortability required
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions
• Care for cardiology patients including those undergoing PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemaker procedures
• Manage post-operative open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)
• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Participate in national clinical trials through research department
