Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager
• Provide nursing care for general medical/surgical patients including oncology, observation, hospice, and medical-surgical patients
• Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately in patient charts
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Oversee delegation of patient care to unit staff
• Accept responsibility for directing co-workers in implementation of patient care plans
• Work every other weekend and holiday schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of Med-Surg experience required
• Medical/Surgical observation experience required
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to Med-Surg specialty required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
