Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans (40% of responsibilities)
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans during surgical procedures with patient safety as priority
• Supervise operating room activities and coordinate schedule changes (30% of responsibilities)
• Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist anesthesia team as necessary
• Monitor sterile field during procedures
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments (20% of responsibilities)
• Participate in staff development through in-services, educational meetings, and seminars (10% of responsibilities)
• Provide leadership to the operating room team
• Document patient care during surgical procedures
• Participate in preceptorship and continuing education
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Epic experience highly preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred
• No call responsibilities
• No weekend requirements
• Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• 2 supervisory reference forms within last two years required
